Fiber Art Quilt Postcards
Fiber Art Quilt Postcards are small works of art that can be sent through the mail. They are 4"x6" in size, and are made using many different materials, and techniques. Each one is an original work of art. Postcards are made on a base of stiff interfacing, making them sturdy, but not too thick for mailing. The backs are finished with a pale, or neutral colored fabric, and may be written on, using permanent gel ink pens for scrapbooking. The gel ink writes quite smoothly on the fabric. You can send your postcard through the mail as is, just by adding a first class stamp to the back, writing your note and address. These pieces of art have a good history of traveling through the postal system very well. You are not only sending someone a special card, you are sending them a gift, also. Fiber Art Postcards can be displayed in many ways. You can pin them to a wall, collect them in a decorative basket, mount them on artist canvas or frame them.
