My “New” Wet Sudio Space

During the winter, Painting outdoors is impossible, and using the kitchen is not tolerated well by kids and DH.  My DH finally installed a furnace in our small 12'x20' greenhouse space, on the back of our mobile home. I also had to clean it up a bit since it was used as a bedroom for one of our sons last winter, while his room was being fixed up, and you know how easy it is to get a teenager to clean up!  To the left of the table is a 12'x3' water garden pretty full of plants- many dormant now, due to cold temps.  I have access to water out there, but no sink, I guess you can't have everything.  I have pictures taken while painting and sunprinting a couple pieces yesterday.  I will set up a mini tutorial, showing how I do my prints next week- I began the process, but this is all I can get up today.  I will be heading to western NY to spend time with family- slighlty late Christmas celebration this weekend.

I can now play with paint year round.  I had some great results with the first prints I did.  Pictures are uploaded, and I will arrange things when my brain is less foggy…..as if that happens much!  Time for sleep now- getting late.

About

I am a former textile artist and new pattern designer with a degree in horticulture, wishing to share my love of nature, flowers and gardens with everyone through my photos, sunprinted fabrics, and now pattern designs. Chronic Lyme Disease has caused major changes to the direction my life. I have to limit the amount of time spent digging in my gardens, and quilting has become more difficult. I discovered pattern design as a way to get art back into my life. I now use my gardens and photos to inspire designs that can be used on fabrics and print on demand items.
