“Bench Garden” done too…

Oops, after re-reading my last post, and checking others, I realized that I had not posted a picture of "Bench Garden" after I finished it. I did finish, and had a hard time deciding how to finish the edges. I am thinking that I may mount it on a piece if foamcore covered in an ivory fabric, so I decided to "bind" the edges with a black and gold metallic yarn.

I did add the organza for clouds, and do some more shading on the cap stones. It finished at 17 1/4"x14". I put corner triangles on the back to hold a dowel or slat for hanging as it is. For now I will display it as it is, or it can be mounted to foamcore for framing.
Another garden finished! At least I can garden in fabric, until the weather cooperates outdoors.

About

I am a former textile artist and new pattern designer with a degree in horticulture, wishing to share my love of nature, flowers and gardens with everyone through my photos, sunprinted fabrics, and now pattern designs. Chronic Lyme Disease has caused major changes to the direction my life. I have to limit the amount of time spent digging in my gardens, and quilting has become more difficult. I discovered pattern design as a way to get art back into my life. I now use my gardens and photos to inspire designs that can be used on fabrics and print on demand items.
