Georgia Bound

This is a quick post just before we leave for a week very early tomorrow morning. Ken and I are headed to Georgia by way of North Carolina. Our #2 son, Zack is graduating from Army basic training this week. He can't wait to have a chance to get off base for a little while. He says it's been really hot most of the time he's been there. We will even be able to take him to his next base, so it will be nice to have a little extra time with him. We were not able to get to #3 son, Nick's graduation from Air Force basic earlier this summer, because it was much farther away, in Texas. Now I will have photos of all 3 of my sharp looking young men in their uniforms. Wow, seems like yesterday I was bringing the first one home from the hospital!

We will also be able to visit relatives on the way down and back, that will help to break up the drive a bit. It looks like I will be getting a few more pins beaded. I get bored easily in the car, so I take things along to work on. I may even start a new small quilt. Photos will be posted upon return.

About

I am a former textile artist and new pattern designer with a degree in horticulture, wishing to share my love of nature, flowers and gardens with everyone through my photos, sunprinted fabrics, and now pattern designs. Chronic Lyme Disease has caused major changes to the direction my life. I have to limit the amount of time spent digging in my gardens, and quilting has become more difficult. I discovered pattern design as a way to get art back into my life. I now use my gardens and photos to inspire designs that can be used on fabrics and print on demand items.
